Description:    Join real classroom teachers Brandy Hempen, Kelsey Johnson, and Trisha Clark in this one-day workshop focusing on assessment design. Ditch the boring, low-leveled textbook tests and develop engaging, rigorous assessments based on the standards. In the morning session, the process of developing an assessment will be modeled. The afternoon session will feature work time for the participants to create assessments for their own classroom use. In three separate groups participants will focus on the math standards at their individual grade levels—Kelsey Johnson will support the K-2 teachers, Brandy will help the 3-5 teachers, and Trisha will assist the 6-8 teachers. This personalized, small group instruction within the different grade bands will aid the success of this one-day workshop.
