Description: 

Active Shooter Training is an instructor-led class providing preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations regarding how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event, ,whether it is an attack by an individual person or by an international group of professionals intent of conveying a political message through violence. Given various active shooter scenarios, including offender profile and building layout, participants will discuss options for dealing with an attack. 

Rend Lake College's Active Shooter Training is based on tactics that have become the accepted response, versus the traditional "lockdown-only" approach. The training program will follow the outline below using classroom and hands-on approaches:
