Atoms, Light, and the Life and Death of Stars

Description:  This workshop will cover atoms, the nature of light, and the life and death of stars. Computer simulations will be used to explore the structure of the atom and the scale of the Universe. Participants will also learn how interactive activities such as a game of tag can be used to teach about the life and death of stars. Images from the Hubble and other space telescopes will be used throughout the session to highlight some of the most amazing objects in the Universe.
