Description:    Students don't hate math; they hate what they think is math. Join real classroom teacher Brandy Hempen along with a few of her elementary students in understanding how to become a math teacher and not a math teller. Coupling the eight math practices with growth mindset will create a cultivating math classroom filled with perseverance, determination, and plenty of smiles from you, the teacher, and your students. Whether you teach kindergarten or eighth-grade algebra, you will leave this one-day, hands-on workshop with a multitude of low-prep, high impact strategies to increase the rigor and lower the anxiety within your math classroom.
