Presenter:  Dr. Lourdes Delgado Serrano
Description: 

This seminar provides teachers, guidance counselors, school psychologists, and para-professionals with the tools necessary to recognize signs and symptoms of mental illness as well as treatment options, school accommodations, and how to access resources in our area. 

Dr. Serrano is a board certified child psychiatrist with Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peroia and has been improving the lives of children in the state of Illinois since 2002. In addition to providing mental health care for children, Dr. Serrano also spends a portion of her time providing eduation about anxiety disorders, behavior disorders, depression, and other mental health issues. Her school-based training helps professionals in education become better prepared to help and advocate children's mental health care.
