Description: |
This is an interactive academy that will focus on administrator identification of four specific teaching behaviors that significantly influence student learning. These teacher behaviors include: Building Relationships with Students, Teacher Clarity, Differentiation and Student Engagement. They closely coordinate with Danielson Domains/Components 2a, 2c & 2e, 3c, 3d, & 3e.
Teacher practices related to these behaviors will be explained and examples provided. Evaluators will be trained to identify and explain the close connection between teacher practices/behaviors and how those behaviors influence student achievement.
Participants will create lists of Look For/Listen For for each teacher behavior. Administrators are encourage to “teach” the teachers these expectations. These can then be used during classroom walk throughs or observations. By creating and training faculty/staff on specific evidence-based practices, evaluators have defined evidence that can be connected to the evaluation rating.
