Description: We want our students to analyze evidence and articulate their own responses. How can we accomplish this? By presenting them with authentic literature and challenging them with well crafted analytical questions. This provides opportunities for thought provoking discussions as they make their way through revisions and re-examination of the material, and eventually toward thematic and conceptual connections. Instruction through literary analysis affords the students deeper insight into the material by allowing them to expand their analytical talents for critical thinking.
