Join real classroom teacher, Brandy Hempen, along with a few of her elementary students in examining how different teaching strategies are more effective throughout different points of instruction. Participants at this workshop will engage in a mock school day with over ten instructional techniques (discussion, teacher demonstration, students teaching others, audiovisual, turn-and-talk, etc.) embedded into instruction. Leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to increase student retention rates and optimize academic success while having fun along the way!
