Description: 

Join real classroom teacher, Dr. Brandy Hempen, in this virutal workshop filled with ideas on how to better prepare yourself and your students for the potential return of remote learning this fall. After a quick review of the new state guidelines and recommendations, you will engage in many hands-on activities on the following: 

  • parental access and support from home
  • meeting the social/emotional needs of students remotely
  • creating standards-based activities remotely
  • differentiating instruction remotely
  • creating meaningful assessments remotely
  • using incentives for work completion
  • providing meaningful feedback to students
  • grading options offered by the state
This workshop will include templates for you to take and use directly in your classroom, helping to make the transitioning process go much more smoothly when and if that time comes. Actual week-long unites and lesson plans filled with instructional videos, activities, hooks and closings, along with behind-the-scenes how-to's will be included! Leave this workshop feeling more confident in your ability to teach in the remote setting!
