Description:    The Illinois Learning Standards for Science delineate the use of phenomena in the science classroom to inspire students to ask the questions that they need to ask in order to be motivated to learn the content we need them to learn. In this workshop, participants will experience a phenomenon-driven activity, define what makes a good phenomenon, explore how phenomena can be used in the classroom, and plan a phenomena-driven unit of instruction. Please bring a device (laptop/chromebook/tablet) and your classroom materials for an upcoming unit of instruction.
