Fingerprinting and Background Checks
The Regional Office of Education #13 utilizes the latest live scan technology for submission of personal information and fingerprints to the Illinois State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for background checks required by Illinois Law.
ROE 13 provides fingerprint services for education and services essential to education only. Clients must make an appointment to be printed. We offer fingerprint services in three counties, Clinton, Jefferson and Marion. The price of the service is $55 ($35 for healthcare workers). If a client is being fingerprinted for employment through one of our districts, the superintendent will provide the employee with a document to bring to the appointment. This let's our staff know that the district will be paying for the service and to bill the district.
Substitute teachers who are registered in Clinton, Jefferson, Marion and Washington Counties must have a fingerprint. The cost of the service is $55. ROE 13 accepts cash, money orders or checks. We do not take credit or debit cards.
