Description: |
In this training I will guide participants down the path of understanding the Danielson Model rubric. I describe and explain each of the four domains, as well as discuss the indicators under each domain. I explain how each of those together make up the totality of the domain and that evaluators must see "sufficient proof" of each domain in order to get an excellent or proficient score in that domain. During this workshop I provide numerous handouts listing specific examples of real life evidence, samples, artifacts, and documentation that could be reflected in the four domains so that teachers won't have to guess about under which domain a piece of evidence fits best. I also bring and share examples of some of my teachers' evaluation "binders" so the participants get to see and touch a finished product. I provide practice examples with pieces of documentation so that participants can test their own knowledge and understanding about which type of evidence fits into each domain. I do all of this in a professional, but also light hearted manner in an effort to reduce the stigma of teacher evaluation being a "gotcha" situation. |

We strive to bring our educators excellent presenters and of course that comes with a cost. When our teachers and administrators register to attend a workshop or administrator academy, we expect them to honor their intention to participate. As we move forward, there will be a charge of $125 for participants who register for this offering, but do not attend. Please notify our office five days in advance if you cannot participate. | ||
