Description: |
Reader’s approach text both efferent and aesthetic. Both types of questions are needed. Efferent - the reader wants a takeaway of bits of information. They want to learn “how to” or learn “why” of something. Aesthetic - the reader wants to explore the work and oneself. It is a more private type of reading. The reader feels the emotions, feelings, attitudes, and ideas and is centered on what they are living through during the relationship with that particular text. The reader can live through the main character or experience nonfiction and other genres fully. Both of these types of reading are needed for a student to fully experience a text. |

We strive to bring our educators excellent presenters and of course that comes with a cost. When our teachers and administrators register to attend a workshop or administrator academy, we expect them to honor their intention to participate. As we move forward, there will be a charge of $125 for participants who register for this offering, but do not attend. Please notify our office five days in advance if you cannot participate. |
