Description:

Do you feel you don’t understand all the sections of the IEP?  Do you feel you know everything there is to know about writing and implementing an IEP?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, this workshop is for you!  How can it be both?

I thought I knew EVERYTHING about writing and implementing IEPs, because I have over 30 years of experience as a special educator.  However, I found out there is so much more!  In this PD, you will learn the basics of each page, what your responsibility is in implementing the IEP, why it is important to be as clear as possible, and what advocates are telling their parent clients to look for!

Whether you are a general or special education teacher, this will help you better understand how to write and implement IEPs that truly provide FAPE while meeting the child's unique needs and preparing them for further education, employment, and independent living. There will be lots of time for discussion, so bring your IEP writing questions and be prepared to practice some new skills!

We strive to bring our educators excellent presenters and of course that comes with a cost. When our teachers and administrators register to attend a workshop or administrator academy, we expect them to honor their intention to participate. As we move forward, there will be a charge of $125 for participants who register for this offering, but do not attend. Please notify our office five days in advance if you cannot participate.
