Description: | The purpose of this session is to provide educators with an overview of dyslexia and relevant instructional strategies. To start, we will explore what dyslexia is and how it affects students. Then, we will learn about efficacious pedagogical practices such as the teaching of phonemic awareness, the alphabetic principle, decoding and fluency. We ill finish by focusing on how to structure lessons and provide effective interventions in a multi-tiered system of support. | |
